Kothamangalam Aggregates, Pre–Stressed Concrete Industries is a multi-crore engineering company, associated with the Kerala State Electricity Board for the manufacture and supply of pre-stressed concrete poles for their electricity transmission and distribution networks. The company is located at Ayroorpadam, 5km away from Kothamangalam town, a part of Ernakulam District, Kerala.
Kothamangalam Aggregates, Pre-Stressed Concrete Industries was established in the year 1999. The company was started with an objective of producing pre-stressed concrete poles and later diversified into producing pre-cast slabs and beams. The main precast products produced by the company are 8M poles, 9M poles, beams and slabs.
The entire production process has been carried out strictly based on IS specifications in each stage. Currently, the company is executing contracts with KSEB for the manufacturing and supply of pre stressed concrete poles of 8M and 9M length to different electrical circles in Kerala. Now, the company contributes towards the rural electrification programme along with KSEB in the state of Kerala through prompt and time bound execution of supply contracts and ultimately participating in the nation’s development.
Unlike conventionally concrete poles, pre stressed poles are specially made/cast by “Pre – Tension Method”. This process produces poles with the highest density and strength-to-weight ratio of any concrete available. As a result, they are more durable and long lasting. The firm provides permanent solutions under the most demanding circumstances where lighting/electricity distribution poles are needed.
Concrete Pre-Stressed Poles are maintenance free and long lasting because of their enhanced architecture design. PSC poles are effective alternatives to painted cast iron, wooden poles, G.I, RCC and aluminium poles.
